Here at Away at the Ridge we try and make your stay what you want it to be. Whether you are a couple trying to get away, or a family wanting to enjoy the outdoors and being on the farm. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Our Mission
We strive to provide the best possible service and experience to our guest that are visiting the Shawnee National Forrest.
Our Team
Our team at Away at the Ridge is family. Myself, husband Wade and our kids. We do our very best to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.
Location
Our little piece of heaven sets just minutes away from The Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, Pounds Hollow and Cave in Rock, nestled right next to Shawnee National Forrest
The Camper
The camper sets on a small fenced in area of the farm. We supply all your needs, except for food. It is fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen items, charcoal and firewood. Hot water (shower/tub combo), AC, gas heat along with an electric heater. We have tried to think of the things you need to most.
The Farm
Here at the farm, we love our animals. We like to share them with you. The horses are able to come right down to the fence at the camper to get some special attention. Dancer, Oreo, Bella and Andi are our girls. And our dog Gypsy normal likes to say hello. You might even get a glamps or hear the goats, CC and Hersey. The Rooster is always making noise. It wouldn't be a farm without all the animal crazy that happens here.
Hiney
This is Hiney, she deserves her own section because she is everyone's favorite! Hiney loves attention and pop tarts even more. I wouldn't have any clue WHY she has become the farms main attraction. LOL
Our Story
In 2022 we decided to let others enjoy a little piece of our farm. I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom to Graham and Codi. Blaine and Eran are my older kids and are now out on their own. My amazing husband let me run with the idea of a camper Airbnb. It has been so nice to meet people from all different area's and walks of life that have chosen us for their getaways. We hope to continue to be that place for your perfect vacation.
